Buglas Cafe: Burger El Grande

My first food post for 2012.  The biggest cheese burger I ever saw in Bacolod City is found at Buglas Cafe.  When I was told about it, I thought...how huge could it be?  It did not look that big in the picture posted in our FB group page.

And so when we had a meeting there in late October last year with the Negros Bloggers core group that was the first thing we ordered.  The name: Burger El Grande.  And mamma mia, yes, it was huge!  It took four of us to finish it.  Was it good? Well, I am not a burger person but yes, it tasted good and was complete with cheese, lettuce and tomatoes garnished with ketchup and mustard.

Next question: Is it worth the money?  If you go there alone and are a big eater (like my son), then it probably is...otherwise share it with at least 2 or 3 other persons, like we did.  And it's a little difficult to eat for us girls but the boys didn't have the same problem, they just opened their mouths and gobbled.

Buglas Cafe is located at Rizal-Lacson St. besides a bank and Business Inn. They are open from 8 am to 11 PM from Mondays to Thursdays and 8 am to 12 Am Fridays and Saturdays.  They close on Sundays.  It's a small cozy place where you can even meditate if you get the den portion all to yourself. It's a fun place to go for students, young professionals and groups who just want to hang out.

  1. Ang laki ng bun! 4 slices of cheese, looks like good for four! Is it also 4 burger pattties and not 1 big patty? observation lang based sa picture.

    1. well, it's all beef and was not a perfect round like the regular burger. It tasted...uhmmm...much like a hamburger should, juicy, beefy, edible. hahaha, I'm really not a burger person but I think it tastes better than your Mcdo or Jollibee.

  7. We have much bigger burger here in our locale. But, i never tasted it yet...Kasi ang laki di ko kaya.

Sometimes tastes don't go with the size and looks :) it means hindi ibig sabihin malaki at masarap tingan ay masarap na kung titikman :)

I eat burger but not that much...only when I have the cravings :)

  15. That's one big burger! :D

And it's a plus that it still tasted good. Most often than not the oversized burgers I tried were of poor quality.

And upon looking at the pictures, it's not a single patty am I right? They used a number of burger patties to fill the burger?
