Life, Day by Day is my personal blog. I started this way back in 2003 but never really took it seriously till recently, not for want of anything to say but simply because I did not know what to do with a blog. My initial motivation was basically to use it as a medium where I can rant and rave. In fact this blog has undergone a few name changes until I finally got a domain name late last year.

I write about my life journeys as well as everything and anything that interests me...the things I like to do, my travels, my little adventures (since I am not very adventurous), my concerns and causes, and last but most important to me...my family.

The way we see life oftentimes depend a lot on the things that happen everyday, good and bad...If we have lived long enough, we realize that life is really a cycle...there are ups and there are downs. I live my life learning from the past, taking things one day at a time...being grateful for the present and trusting all my tomorrows to the One who holds eternity in His hands.

Although I know that each person is different and reacts to life in different ways...as they say, different strokes for different folks.  I believe that there must be more to life than just living...and so, I would like to share my life experiences and insights hoping that people who read my blog would learn something and be the better for it.

The "Pwede Na" Mentality...Mediocrity as a Life Principle

I was driving to work this morning and as usual, I found myself getting annoyed by many wrong practices but commonly done by people that it got me thinking (while waiting for the traffic lights to change)... are these people either clueless or plain thoughtless that they are doing the wrong thing, OR are they people who know that they are doing wrong, but are inconsiderate and plainly just don't care, OR these people are aware that what they did is not quite right but then everyone is doing it, so they might as well do it too, OR people are so used to mediocrity that this has also become the principle they follow in life.
